Hey Marc, I spent more time than I care to remember being ‘not gay’ so I was reluctant to express any interest in other guys, not because I wanted to avoid implying they were gay but because I didn’t want to seem gay to them. Looking back it was because I didn’t want to give myself away but at the time I wanted to avoid implying I was gay when I was denying that to myself. Too complicated? Yep!
Having said that, your advice is spot on. If you like a guy but don’t think he is gay, don’t push the issue, wait for him to make the move. Make the move yourself, you could be embarrassed, or depending where you live you could be assaulted or killed.
