If you’re familiar with Cody Allen, you may know he has tendencies that edge toward strange sexual behavior.
I had the pleasure to get together with Cody for this short interview that I hope all you guys enjoy.
Marc Dylan: What does 2013 hold for you? Any new projects you’re excited about?
Cody Allen: 2013 holds another year of school and another year of me living in NYC. I can never quite predict what will happen around the bend but from the looks of it I may soon have my first dominant roll at Kink.com this year which I’m pretty psyched about. Outside of that, my rope bondage classes are kicking off, my sex ed workshops are gaining popularity, making many new friends, and going on tons of dates. This may be the year that I actually get my first boyfriend!
Marc Dylan: What is the coolest or strangest message you’ve ever gotten from a fan? Is there anyone that you were surprised to learn was a fan of your work?
Cody Allen: I would have to say that I have 3 messages tied for the coolest, and 2 for strangest. I got a message from a fan who just said a basic hello but he looked cute from his email avatar picture, we ended up hooking up, a wonderfully worded message complementing and going into great detail about various things it ended with grabbing lunch and having a wonderful conversation with the fellow, and lastly a guy who just wanted to send me a couple of bucks and that was pretty cool of him. Strangest would have to be this email I got from a Nigerian Prince who wanted help transferring his money, I gave him the info that he requested but never heard back, just kidding of course it went straight to spam. Strangest would have to be either solicitations for me to escort or people who just say Hi expecting a whole conversation to unfold. Word to the wise, have something to talk about if you are going to message a random person, I don’t know you but you know of me so the burden’s on you to get the conversation started.
Marc Dylan: Who have been your favorite scene partners to work with?
Cody Allen: Favorite scene partners… so I will say this a lot of guys are very professional and I can say that for most of the people I’ve worked with. But of the guys I’ve worked with 1 stands out, Randall O’Reilly. He was a chill dude like most and cool to work with but on top of that he’s 1 of only 2 guys who I’ve been paired with who is actually my type, while I didn’t do a full scene with him we ended up assisting each other and joined in at the end of his scene at Naked Kombat.
Marc Dylan: What’s your favorite body part? (on your own body, I mean.) Even better, what’s your favorite part on someone else?
Cody Allen: My favorite body part on me, honestly I don’t have a clue, I don’t want to say my dick but if I was going to change everything about myself but leave one thing the way it is, it would be my dick or my heart (47bpm resting heart rate, I’d like to keep that 😛 .) When it comes to others it’s the face, the biggest turn on for me is a guy with a cute face everything else is superfluous. Of course this is assuming that the personality doesn’t count as a body part, if it did that would be my choice for both.
Marc Dylan: What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Cody Allen: Surprised to learn, either that I’m studying computer engineering or that I am a top. Adult performers are generally not stereotyped very brightly, so I am happy to say I don’t fit that stereotype. Considering that I bottom in almost all of my scenes, I think some would be surprised to find that I am almost exclusively a top in my personal life.
Marc Dylan: Have you ever had a particularly embarrassing moment while filming a scene?
Cody Allen: Once or twice and they were embarrassing so we aren’t going to talk about them.
Marc Dylan: How does the industry affect your ability to have a normal relationship?
Cody Allen: I honestly don’t know. I’ve never been in an actual relationship before. But any guy I seriously dated never had a problem with it.
Marc Dylan: What was is the worst job you’ve ever worked?
Cody Allen: Worst job I’ve worked, not really sure. I’ve always found equitable employment. I use to work in construction when I was 14-15 or so, then moved on to IT. Now I do this and have free time, money, and a social life. So I’ll be sticking with this for a bit.
Marc Dylan: What’s been the high point of your career so far? Is there an achievement that you’re most proud of?
Cody Allen: Career I think is the wrong word, job is a better term. As far as high points, I’m not really sure. Nothing exactly stands out as particularly awesome or prideful. Short of consistent work when I am looking for it which means to me that people like me, and the consistent pay checks attached to that nothing really stands out too much. I’ve met some cool people and that may be the high point but that’s not exactly related to the job, more so a benefit from it.
Marc Dylan: Do you ever see yourself leaving the adult film industry or otherwise branching out to work on other projects?
Cody Allen: Once I complete my degree in a few years I will weigh the benefits of continuing to work in the industry. It I can do it on the side I will but if it’s not feasible then I won’t.
Marc Dylan: Is the adult industry what you thought it would be prior to getting into it?
Cody Allen: I didn’t really think about it much before I got into it. If I did it was over a year ago now and I can’t recall my mindset then. But I can say that I’m happy that I started off where I started. I’ve seen many guys shoot 1-2 scenes thinking they have a consistent job to suddenly be dropped off and never picked up again. I’ve had the benefit of getting to work with studios that treated me properly and I must say that anyone who plans to get into the industry to ensure that you only work with studios that will treat you fairly.
Marc Dylan: In the future do you think you will view your experience in the industry as a positive or negative part of your life?
Cody Allen: At this time I can’t really say. My career choice shouldn’t be effected by this and I’ve ever gotten any flack for doing it. So I suppose it will be either a neutral or positive part of my life.
Marc Dylan: Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions, anything you would like to say to your fans?
Cody Allen: All I have say to my fans is keep watching because you watching is what keeps me making more stuff for you to watch.
