ABOUT MARC DYLAN
Hey guys, Thanks for visiting my website and blog. I was a porn fan long before I decided to try my hand at doing it so I enjoy sharing these hot scenes with you as well as some serious topics (click to visit my advice blog, you ask I answer – everything from sex advice to dating and friendship advice)
I got started in the porn world almost 9 years ago, thinking I would only do one or two scenes… boy was I wrong! I never needed porn for any monetary reason, it was going to be a one-time adventure, a diversion from a successful but stressful career. It has turned out to be a great and enlightening personal experience and thanks to the application of common sense business principals turned into a financially rewarding business venture. My time as a performer helped me get more comfortable with myself and make a few great friends along the way. One of the reasons the experience has been good for me is that I DO THINGS ON MY TERMS. I don’t do anything that I’m uncomfortable with. As with any business, operating from a sound financial base gives me the option to say no to deals that are not a good fit for me. Some people assume the sex industry attracts only desperate people who are then victimized and exploited. There are plenty of people who fall into that category, but I have also met some smart, intelligent, and successful people who are having a great time in the industry.
My family moved to Mississippi from New Jersey when I was nine years old after my mother passed away. Talk about culture shock! Growing up in Mississippi I was closeted for a long time and uncomfortable with my sexuality. Not because I thought it was wrong, immoral, or any of that silliness, but because of the headaches it can cause being out in such a conservative state. I can remember thinking how exciting it would be to move to a city like LA or San Francisco where there would be no concern of being judged, but I never left because I wanted to be close to my family.
I always thought it would be fun and exciting to be in a porn movie; I watched a lot of it! It was an outlet for me. I never thought I would actually follow through with it, but here I am almost a decade later still traveling all over and enjoying many of my favorite cities. Overall my porn experience has been a great one. At this point, I much prefer blogging to performing, but while I haven’t filmed a scene in five years, I never say never when asked if I’ll get film again.
If you’re curious about how I actually got into the adult industry…
I was 19 when I first applied to do porn, I was contacted and offered a chance to film but was so nervous I backed out right away. Fast forward eight years later and I applied to one of my favorite studios SeanCody; it was so exciting when they emailed back and offered to bring me to San Diego to film. I was really thrilled to be in California, my first night there I found the gayborhood, Hillcrest it was so refreshing, heartwarming, and validating to see LGBTQ people out and about being themselves, lots of gay bars, even two guys holding hands in public. Two days before I was supposed to film I cut my chin shaving, it ended up getting red and a little swollen. The day the studio picked me up and saw my chin they said I wouldn’t be able to film, and they were sending me home. I was pretty bummed and thought maybe it wasn’t meant to be.
I got back to MS and thought I’ll give it one more shot and applied to every studio I could think of and one scene turned into fifty 🙂 . I do find it little amusing that in 2011 I was voted the favorite gay porn star of the year by the Queer Me Now readers, and the runner-up… A SEAN CODY model. Funny how things work out.
I hope you guys enjoy all the hot scenes, webcamming and blog posts that are on the site!
